Straw Lim is a multilingual singer-songwriter from Malaysia, based in Sabah. Her work explores diversity and social awareness through cross-cultural collaboration. A longtime participant in community-based music and education projects with marginalised groups, she sees music as a space for connection and quiet transformation.

  • “Pulang” (2025)
    – A love letter to Malaysia, embracing Straw’s identity as a third generation Malaysian. The ten-track album features a mix of five languages: Hinghwa, Bajau, Mandarin, Malay, and English, and blends traditional rhythms with modern instruments, such as seruling, rebana, tabla, sape, sundatang, trombone, cello, guitar, drums, etc.
