深呼吸で put everything behind you
Let your worries flow with the wind
Will you follow me to 冬の花火

Fireworks, fire away…

Hold me close, stay with me, enjoy this moment
Paint the sky with colors

^Rasa sayang, hey, rasa sayang sayang, hey
Hey, lihat nona jauh rasa sayang sayang, hey

Fireworks, fire away…

[Translation]

Take a deep breath put everything behind you
Let your worries flow with the wind through the night clouds
“Where did you come from?” you ask me softly
Will you follow me to the winter fireworks

Fireworks, fire away…
They’ve burst into bloom

*Your voice echoes out across the sea
Hold me close, stay with me, enjoy this moment
Looking up at the sky with you, paint the sky with colours
Swallowing the waves of the future
Where the lights intersect

^Hey, feel the love (Okinawa Eisa chant)

I’ve come to this island, embracing the winter’s warmth
This blooming hibiscus reminds me of my southern home

Under parallel starry skies, moonlight spills across the sea
Awakening the Hajichi on the hand, it’s beyond my imagination

On this utopian island, Straw (water grass) had a spark (fire flower)
With new friends, like winter fireworks

Once in a lifetime, too fleeting for words
I’m not lonely, you know
See you again; thank you

Fireworks, fire away…
I want to see them with you again

Created during the Trans Asia Resonance co-writing session in Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2026, “Fuyu No Hanabi” captures the raw groove and spontaneous energy of that unique moment. The song naturally weaves together Japanese, English, Chinese, phrases inspired by Malay folk song, and even elements of Okinawan Eisa rhythm and chants, creating a rich musical landscape where different cultures and atmospheres coexist effortlessly. It is truly a song that could only have been born in that place, at that moment-and the title, “Fuyu No Hanabi” (Winter Fireworks), reflects the precious encounter that took place in Okinawa that winter.

Special thanks to Lin-I-Shuo and Phoebe Tsen for vocal tips, JD Wong @ Studio 21:05 for recording the main vocals, Lin-I-Shuo and peacefoo for visual input.
